CERTIFED MEDICAL ASSISTANT PROGRAM

 

The CMA program will prepare the student to work in numerous healthcare settings under the physician’s supervision. Students in this program can expect training to include obtaining laboratory specimens for testing, taking and documenting vital signs, educating patients, charting a patient’s history, scheduling appointments, filing, scanning, and other clerical responsibilities, give injections, and performing an EKG.

 

After successful completion of the program, the student will be eligible to sit for the NHA examination in 3 areas: Certified EKG Technician, Certified Medical Assistant, and Certified Phlebotomist Technician. (Must pay for each exam separately)
