Program Description: The CHW program will prepare the student to provide community outreach to individuals in a community by bridging the gap between people in need of care and care providers. Students will learn how to provide social support and advocate for both individuals and community health needs. Students will be prepared to work in a variety of settings such as hospital systems, non-profit and faith-based organizations, public and private clinics, educational systems, learning extension centers, public agencies, and homes.
