About the event
Phlebotomy Bootcamp is a 4- week course designed to train students who want to begin a medical career as a Certified Phlebotomist Technician. This is a fast- paced course that you don't want to miss!
Students will learn how to draw blood from the patient or donor using a variety of techniques, such as venipuncture or capillary puncture, label the sample for processing and testing, assemble and maintain needles, test tubes, blood vials and other medical instruments, maintain clean and sanitary work areas in order to avoid infection and other complications, check patient's vital signs, as well as charting and documenting clinical data. After successful completion of this course the student will receive a certificate of completion and will be eligible to sit for the Phlebotomy Technician National Certification through MedCA (Medical Career Assessment).
